11.	Osamu Sahara : Positioning Image Media in Art Education : Direction of Image Media Education in Art Education Textbooks, The Journal for the association of art education, No.32, 163-172, 2011. (Summary) The purpose of this study was to review guidelines for media education, based upon the idea of image media education in art education. A second aim was to clarify the direction of image media within art education textbooks on a practical level. Through revising the guidelines of image media education in art education, three levels of goals were defined. An analysis of textbooks published by Nihonbunkyo, Mitsumuratosho, and Kairyudo based on the three levels of goals, showed clear differences in focal point for image media education in each of the textbooks. (Summary) This paper continues a discussion of 21st century goals in education as they relate to the Japanese Ministry of Education guidelines, PISA outcomes and recommendations, and for broader contextualization, American approaches to 21st century education. With interest in meeting these goals at the university level, the authors are exploring the possibility of an experiment in melding of design and Media English into an interdisciplinary curriculum. This paper in particular looks at current practice regarding the use of TED talks in the English literacy classroom and in a basic design course. (Summary) This research will report on the Space Balloon Project at Nagoya Bunri University which was undertaken as part of Aichi Science Festival in 2013. The aim of the Space Balloon Project was to send a weather balloon up to the stratosphere and take a video of the Earth and atmosphere for scientific observation. This project-based learning will serve as fundamental education in information and science study for the students of Nagoya Bunri University. During Aichi Science Festival 2013, the weather balloon reached 23km above the ground and took a video of the stratosphere and atmosphere in Aichi area and the video and deata were subsequentry shared at a science symposium as part of outreach in research. Students of Nagoya Bunri University learned fundamental ideas of science and information thorough this project by means of PBL. It is hoped this rich experience will be great motivation for students who are studying Information and Media Studies at Nagoya Bunri University. 4.	Osamu Sahara : Art Education Class Demonstration with Image Media focusing on Analogical Tangible Perseption, Journal of Nagoya Bunri University, Vol.13, pp.59-74, 2013. (Summary) Japanese ministery of education enforced new national standard for junior highschool at 2012. In theart standard, the line of image media fixed as a endevor aim. In the contrast with the previous standard,this is a decline revision of image media. It is possible to foresight many reason, but as a typicalpracticalreason, there is not enough image media equioment in the school. On the other hand, Japanesegovernment has been promoted"The Vision for ICT in Education"since 2011. It is important to thinkabout how we apply image media, which integrated into ICT media, in the theory and practial field on arteudcation. Therefore, in this artcle proposed one theory of how knowledge cultivate and spin throughimage media and continuously pursuit of students learning. Furthermore, the actual class was held atthe loacl junior high school based on this model. As a result of this practice, unevenness of aestheticsense, which obtain when the students watch image media, was reduced. Also the students who tookthis practice, strongly persept analogical tangible perseption when they watch image media more thanthe other student. (Summary) Communication problemshave a risen due to thelanguage barrier between foreign students parents and teachers in public schools in Japan. The iPad application "TALK" was developed to deal with this situation. The role of TALK will be to assist teachers in sending school schedule information to foreign students'parents via e-mail. The schedules will be automatically translated to the mother language of each student. In addition, TALK will provide teachers with a way to send emergency information, including evacuation maps and messages to parents. Through these means, the creators of TALK aim to provide a solution system for public schools to deal with the communication problem between foreign students'parents and teachers.Currently, it is possible to download the application from the"App Store"online. We are planning to refine the application by carrying out a trial at an actual school in the near future. (Summary) This article is clearing the structure of utilizing image media in art education based on Howard,smultiple intelligence theory to be able to cultivating aesthetic sense and intelligences. It is betterto cultivate Howard,s 8 intelligences category inter-crossly especially for visually enhanced lifeenvironment. The structure of inter-media education shows image media utilization can be developedmore than just a visual communication. Thus, it is very important to understand the character ofthe media and have a practice of creating own media that can be controlled by student-selves. (Summary) Interactivity in Inter-media art will affect contemporary art in many ways. Human beings have an ability to sense various phenomena through such senses as sight, sound, touch, smell, taste, and balance. Catching phenomena through a single sense will give an idea of it, but complex sensory reactions will create even greater complexity of feelings in an individual. What we call emotion is the top of the pyramid in these complex human reactions. These intricate reactions of human senses will interact each other in an individual. Inter-media art, as a new way of extension of human senses is becoming part of a new kind of artistic expression with interactive reactions. Based on this idea, various conceptual inter-media art works were created at Nagoya Bunri University. To foster new ideas in general society, mass media has often worked as a medium through which new ideas are interpreted to society. In relation to art society within a culture, mass media plays an important role for Inter-media art. Osamu Sahara : Possibility of Art-related Events in Local Areas to Promote Art Education : Possibility of Local Educational Activities Based on DBAE Including the Event of Tokai Road Lighting-up Festival, Journal of Nagoya Bunri University, Vol.7, 79-88, 2007. (Summary) "Tokai Road Lighting-up Festival" was held to promote cultural possibilities of Higashi Mikawa Area along the avenue of pine trees, which is national treasure, in Toyokawa-shi in September 2006. The writer paticipated in this event as a director and an artist. It was our hope that it would be effective in developing cultural awareness from the viewpoint of lifelong education. From the viewpoint of lifelong education, there was a need for a guidebook to facilitate appreciation of artworks and to promote understanding of the new quality of artworks based on the idea of Discipline Based Art Education. It was hoped that the viewers would be able to enjoy artworks in a deeper sense and would be able to associate art as a part of culture. This community-based event was not and will not be held by one individual or group alone. It would rather be as a part of the art movement and development of the area. As such it will contribute to saving problems of people having difficulty in understanding modern art works after the 20th century.
