○	Function of Narrative (story, cosmology) (物語の機能の歴史的変遷と現在の社会における物語のはたらきを研究している．物語はひと，ものなどの存在を意味や価値の面からつなぐ．従って，そこに示された物語の特徴を知ることによって，その人や集団の世界観，人間観，価値観を知ることができる．このような観点から，現在起こっている文化現象を読み解く作業を行っている．)

(Summary) 入学初年次生のレポート作成指導をするための具体的な事例を示した指導書(p.1-p.30)．本書の必要部分をコピーして学生に配布できるように，学生を読者にした記述スタイルを取っている．レポート作成手順を示し，学生が従来戸惑うことの多かった部分に具体的事例を示すとともに，最近問題となっている著作権などに関連する注釈や引用の具体例を明記した．またレポート作成の手助けとなるよう徳島大学付属図書館ホームページ利用法も示した．

Sayaka Tanaka, Junko Kagawa, Takaaki Shinto, Takuji Kawano, Hiroshi Yoshida, Masanori Miyata and Koji Soda : 大学における授業コンサルタントのスキルに関する考察―徳島大学の事例をもとに―, Japan Journal of Educational Technology, Vol.34(Suppl), 169-172, 2010. (Summary) 近年,大学における授業コンサルテーションの取り組みが注目されつつあり,授業コンサルタントのスキルに関する詳細な研究が必要になってきている.そこで本研究では徳島大学の授業コンサルテーションの事例から授業コンサルタントのスキルについて,概念整理することを目的とした.授業コンサルタントのスキルに関する調査の結果より,15種類のスキルを見出し,授業コンサルタントが携わる活動に応じてそれぞれ必要とされるスキルを整理した.本研究より,授業コンサルタントのスキルの特性には,対象教員との二者間の関係性に加え,コンサルタントと多様な成員との関係性,相互研修の場の創造に向けた方向性があることが考えられた. Junko Kagawa, Takuji Kawano, Masanori Miyata, 神藤貴昭, Koji Soda and 奈良理恵 : Roles and functions of the center for university extension at the university of Tokushima as a center for faculty development, Kyoto University Researches in Higher Education, Vol.14, 71-81, 2008. (Summary) In 2008, faculty development (FD) became an obligatory part of undergraduate programs at Japanese universities. Therefore, educators must engage in practical & organizational FD activities. Concurrently, it is necessary to pay considerable attention to research in FD organization and FD networking to accommodate various aspects in a given period of change within higher education. In this paper we considered the roles and functions of an FD Center, the Center for University Extension (CUE) at the University of Tokushima. The first established three-year stage of Tokushima University's FD programs began in 2002. We have now completed the second stage of organizational development. This year we entered into the third stage of substantiating FD programs by enlarging, strengthening and networking the FD organization. We also considered the future development of the CUE as an FD center. 5.	Koji Soda and Shuichi Hirowatari : A study on restructuring of liberal education, --- Historical overview in America and political trends in Japan ---, Journal of University Education Research, Vol.2, 1-12, 2005. (Summary) We discuss in this paper what is necessary to restructure the liberal education at university. First we study thehistory of liberal education (general education) in America which affected the liberal education in Japan since1945. Then we consider political trends after 1991 in the reports of the Central Council for Education. On thisdata we make clear the problems and confusion involved in the liberal education in Japan. We conclude thatin the more flexible educational systems and in the more secured universities' autonomy we should make theadmission-, curriculum- and diploma policy of each department even clearer, and then the member ofdepartment should share the policies in common.
